A number of these books are by Edgar Rice Burroughs who was well known for inventing new words, often as anagrams of existing words, or existing words spelled backwards. Interestingly Roy Carnon operated his artistic business under the trade name of YORDERF, phone number RENown 6731.   "YORDERF" is own abbreviated name "Fred Roy" backwards !
